Took Mulholland Hwy west to PCH.
PCH to Point Mugu through Conejo, Thousand Oaks, and back to Westlake.

Rode from Carpinteria to Westlake
Went the coastal route.
From Carpenteria you get on the 101 freeway for about 3-4 miles, to Hwy 1.
Then a bike trail to Ventura.
From Ventura inland to Oxnard/Camarillo.
Then a Climb up Potrero rd/canyon up to Hidden Valley lake Sherwood.
Potrero road has some steep spots, I'm guessing 20%.
From lake Sherwood you drop back down to Westlake.

Rode from Westlake Village to Carpinteria.
Went inland up through Thousand Oaks, Norwegian Grade, Moorpark,Santa Paula,
and then down to Ventura.
From here Google maps tried to route me south of lake Casitas,
but it was locked, gated, private property.
So I back tracked and rode up north of lake Casitas to the 150. 
Then down into Carpinteria.
